YouTube Video Hack
Ok, so you want to download videos from YouTube (or video sharing sites that serve FLV files) to your MacBook and view them locally and/or on your video iPod? Follow the below steps:
1. First, you have to use the Firefox internet browser.
2. Download and install the VideoDownloader extension for Firefox.
3. Download and install an FLV to MP4 convert iSquint from http://www.isquint.org
Ok, once you've done all of the above, you're ready to grab video's from YouTube. Let's do it:
1. Launch Firefox
2. Go to YouTube and find a video you like.
3. Once you're on the page of the video you're viewing, click on the little VideoDownloader icon located at the very lower right corner of Firefox. If you don't see it, then you haven't installed it!
4. A popup window will appear with download info of the video you're viewing.
5. Click on 'Download Link' and save the file to a folder on your machine. MAKE SURE YOU ASSIGN an extension .FLV to it. IMPORTANT NOTE: STOP THE VIDEO IF IT'S PLAYING OR LOAD A DIFFERENT YOUTUBE PAGE AFTER YOU'VE LAUNCHED THE VIDEOLOADER POPUP BECAUSE YOUR ISP MAY NOT ALLOW CONCURRENT DOWNLOAD OF FILES WITH THE SAME NAME.
6. Once the download has finished, launch iSquint.
7. Locate the FLV file from the Finder folder and drag it into the iSquint queue-like area.
8. For the Saving In section..click on Change and select the folder where you would like the converted video file to be stored.
9. Click on start and let iSquint do its magic.
10. Once it's done, you should see a new file with an extension .mp4 in the folder you specified above.
11. Double click on the file and Quicktime will load and play the video! Enjoy!
Download videos from Youtube, Google, Metacafe, iFilm, MySpace..."

Bless You Boys
I found it! I've been looking for the 1984 Detroit Tigers anthem since I packed my stuff in Austin. Many of you in Detroit have asked me to post it and here it is, BLESS YOU BOYS! This song was recorded by Saturday Night Music Machine winner Curtis Gadson (sp) in 1984. It was played over and over during the Tigers run to the World Series title in 1984. It brings back great memories from "the day." Enjoy. Send it to radio station in Detroit and ask them to play it, they will.
The Phrase Bless you Boys was started by channel 4 TV anchor Al Akerman in 1983 as a put down for a team that lost more games than it won. Al then used it in 1984 when the Tigers launched the 1984 season with a 35-5 record. The 1983 team did finish above .500 but Al was expecting them to compete for the pennant.
This is the original song, Gadson did "Bless You Boys, Do it Again" in 1985. I have that too but haven't found it yet.

Canon Presents 20D Successor: EOS 30D - Consumer-SLR
Canon Presents 20D Successor: EOS 30D - Consumer-SLR
February 21, 2006 - Canon modified its fleet of digital single lens reflex cameras today with the announcement of the Canon EOS 30D. This DSLR succeeds the 20D but keeps many of the same core features. It has the same 8.2 megapixel CMOS chip and pairs it with a DIGIC II image processor. Both models have a fast 5 frame-per-second burst rate and a 9-point auto focus system. The 30D adds a larger 2.5-inch LCD monitor and borrows several interface and workflow oriented features from the freshly released Canon EOS 5D. The Canon EOS 30D will be available mid-March for $1,399 for the body only or a hundred dollars more when sold with the 18-55mm kit lens.
The Canon 20D has been on the market for nearly 18 months, but consumers still eyeing it as an option need not worry. “We recognize the enormous potential of the advanced amateur digital SLR market,” said Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior vice president and general manager of the consumer imaging group at Canon U.S.A., in today’s press release. “To better support this audience, we will continue to offer the EOS 20D digital SLR at a slightly more affordable price point of $1,299.”

Detroit Auto Show Woman caught naked in late-night rendezvous with Dodge Challenger - Autoblog
Detroit Auto Show (Un)Wrapup: Woman caught naked in late-night rendezvous with Dodge Challenger - Autoblog: "Detroit Auto Show (Un)Wrapup: Woman caught naked in late-night rendezvous with Dodge ChallengerPosted Jan 18th 2006 1:00PM by Chris PaukertFiled under: Detroit Auto Show, Sports/GTs
We knew from the moment we clapped eyes on the Dodge Challenger concept at its North American International Show premiere that it was one sexy machine. Admittedly, that Daimler-Chrysler chose to reinforce this fact by trotting out Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria didn’t hurt their chances with assembled masses, either. But that wasn’t enough, at least for one woman. According to the Associated Press, Cobo Hall guards found a female splayed out au natural, sheetmetal-to-sheetmetal with the Challenger at 2:30am Monday morning-- a time when the venue should’ve been sewn up tighter than the panel gaps on the new Lexus LS 460. Authorities found the model encircled by about a dozen rubberneckers with camera phones.
Aninternal investigation (of the security breach!) is pending."

Eagleye Radio Control Digital Camera Plane
What's the coolest thing you can buy at Wal-Mart? It very well may be this RC airplane with built-in DIGITAL CAMERA. You take pictures from the plane by pressing a button on the remote. It's perfect for gadget geeks who already have everything else, nosy kids and peeping toms.
